Layer 1 Physical Backbone
Service
Structured Cabling Services Kampala | Network Cabling Uganda
Unstructured point-to-point cabling creates outages, slow troubleshooting, and limits upgrades. Businesses in Kampala need a scalable, certified physical layer for voice, data, CCTV and Wi-Fi.
Operational impact
The operational consequences
Poor termination, mixed cable standards and missing documentation cause intermittent network drops, high maintenance costs and expensive re-cabling when you scale.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
01What is structured cabling and why does my business need it?
Structured cabling is a standardized architecture for data and voice cabling with patch panels, standardized outlets and organized pathways. It makes adding devices simple, reduces troubleshooting from hours to minutes, and supports technology upgrades for 10-15+ years.
02How long does a structured cabling installation take?
A small office of 20-50 cable runs typically takes 2-5 days. Multi-floor buildings or campus projects take 1-3 weeks. Work is planned around business hours to minimize disruption.
03What standards do you follow?
We design to ANSI/TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801. Copper is Cat6/Cat6a shielded, fiber is single-mode or multi-mode armored, all installed with correct bend radius and cable tray management.
04Do you provide certification testing?
Yes. Every link is field-certified with Fluke DSX-8000 for NEXT, return loss, attenuation and length. You receive a full test report and as-built drawings at handover.
05What is the cost of structured cabling in Uganda?
Cost depends on number of drops, cable type and building complexity. We provide a transparent per-drop BoQ with materials and labour, and a free on-site assessment to size your project.
